Greenfield, MN to Bismark, ND

One day down, seven more to go!
The day began with Jason waking up at 5:30 a.m. to take our Escape to get checked out.  Good news, it looks like the everything looks great, and the sound we were hearing has not been heard since yesterday (knock on wood)! Praise the Lord!
We were able to spend some quality time with Jason's parents and siblings; eating some delicious pancakes, shopping at Verizon and Walmart, looking at China pictures, and enjoying some hamburgers for lunch.  Then more goodbye's : (   Luckily we will see three of them very soon up in Alaska.
We headed out around 2:00 p.m. and arrived here in Bismark, North Dakota around 8:15 p.m.  It was a nice short day of driving.  Along the way, we did stop to see the world's largest buffalo in Jamestown, North Dakota! (see pictures below)  There was also an old Frontier Village to walk through.  It was a good break!   We only saw a little bit of the flooding as we traveled across North Dakota.  One rest area was completely  inaccessible.  Overall, it was a great day of driving, thanks to the Lord!
Highlights of today:
1.  Jason walking in on someone in the bathroom in Mapleton, ND.
2.  Reading about how to escape a moose attack. (HIDE behind a tree!)
3.  Being able to have this time with my husband to talk and prepare for this incredible adventure.  What a true blessing!

Until tomorrow, God bless!

  1. You look pretty calm for being chased by the World's Largest Buffalo!

Anyway, glad everything's going well. Thanks for the update!

    Love you both!
